The Derschutze brand was founded by Yusuf Arif Yucel, a German designer of Turkish descent. He grew up in East Hamburg. The neighborhood where Yusuf grew up was home to a diverse population and a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Initially, the young designer didn’t set out to create a major brand; it all began with graduation hoodies for his classmates.

But later the brand began to grow and evolve rapidly. Today, Derschutze is built around the idea that clothing can be much more that just fashion. Through intricate works of art, embroidery, and craftsmanship, the brand strives to create pieces that tell stories and convey the beauty found in diverse cultures and perspectives.
