Black thread

Black thread

An up-and-coming Korean designer presented a new collection dedicated to the idealized body. The collection featured three looks - two for women and one for men - and the graments vivdly express people’s desire to be and become better, to endlessly perfect their bodies.

The fabric is casually layered in pieces and sewn together with thick black thread, symbolizing skin hastily stitched with seams. Through this, the designer sought to convey that the ideal body comes at a price - plastic surgery can make the body “correct”, but it will never be the same as before, nor will it be alive.
